Contrary to what many might be perfectly justified in believing considering my absence from the blogosphere this past month and a half, I haven’t been run over by a bus on my way to work or decided to give up blogging. It has taken me a bit longer than I thought to adjust to my new job, and I haven’t had the energy to sit down in front of my computer and catch up on the many reviews awaiting my attention.
I’m on fall break now, though, so I hope to have a little more time to devote to my blog. In the meantime, I am delighted and very, very proud to announce that Simon of Stuck-in-a-Book asked me to participate in his latest edition of “My Life in Books”. Do pop on over and tell me what you think!

Thanks so much for participating, Florence! It was lovely to have you on board – and some great choices. I’ve been meaning to read The Enchanted Castle this year – and you have spurred me on. And would you believe that I have never read Anne of Green Gables?
Well, I’m not entirely surprised, Simon: not many boys are spontaneously attracted to Anne of Green Gables! Something tells me you will enjoy The Enchanted Castle more…
Very fun to read, Florence! You are from a diplomatic family? Fascinating! I hope you’ll write one day about all the places you’ve lived.
I’m glad you enjoyed it Anbolyn! Yes, we travelled to many different places due to my dad’s work. Not always easy, but always very interesting!
I enjoyed reading your interview over coffee this morning! I will definitely read The enchanted castle one of these days…!
Roland!! I am shocked and appalled that you have not done so yet :p Allow me to lend you my copy!
Glad you enjoyed the interview 🙂
Dear Florence, I have just bought a copy of The Enchanted Castle from ABE Books, you are entirely responsible and I cannot wait for it to arrive! Enjoyed reading the interview at Stuck in a Book. I also prefer the Emily books…
Ha! You’re the first person who agrees with me about the Emily books! I am delighted!
I am also thrilled you bought The Enchanted Castle – I do hope you enjoy it!
P.S. I’ve just nominated you for the Liebster Award (I hope the tag worked). I look forward to reading your answers to my questions (always assuming you want to answer them, of course!).
